I found this item recently at an estate sale along with some other interesting vintage clothes, Please take a look at my other auctions. This item is a vintage 1940’s ” UNION MADE” LEE Chore Jacket /Coat. The label looks like it says Lot 44J Size 34. The size seems a a bit bigger than than to me. Lying flat on the floor and buttoned up it measures approximately : Shoulder to Shoulder across the back 16.5 inches Armpit to Armpit :20 inches Sleeve (from shoulder seam to cuff) 25 inches Length (from the top of the collar to bottom hem): 30 inches. It is in very good shape, no tears or holes. There are some small brown stains here and there. I didn’t want to take the chance of damaging the original painted decoration on the back. I could not decipher what it is referring to. A Tiger in a beer Stein and the number 55. Perhaps it is a unit insignia? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
