For sale here is a wonderful 1940s suit made by Hector Powe. Technically the suit dates from 1953 but the cloth, cut and construction are pure 40s. Armpit to armpit – 19.5. Sleeve (outside) – 25. Shoulder – 17.5. Trousers – 33 1 x 28 with a turn up. A 38 reg although you may want to add some length to the trouser with a false hem.
