NWT 1996 LVC Levis 501XX Cone Denim Jeans Red Line Selvedge Deadstock 1955 Style. This is a pair of 1955 style 501XX jeans. Manufactured in 1996 at the start of Levi’s Vintage Clothing, now known as LVC. Salmon pink label with original price tag. Rigid, unwashed Cone Mills denim in a classic rockabilly fit. Narrow-weave, ring spun, redline selvedge denim is nice and stiff in the classic dark indigo color. Big E red tab, hidden rivets, watch pocket with outseam selvedge, paper tag. These jeans have the Valencia Street ID on the top button, stamped 555, and were made at the original Levis factory on Valencia Street in San Francisco which is now closed. Collectors consider these early LVC items to be the finest reproductions Levi’s have ever made. If you plan on wearing these jeans, please be aware they are shrink to fit, see Levi’s size guide sticker in photos to assist with sizing as measurements below will not be accurate after they are washed. 32×34, Shrink to Fit. Very Good- Item is wearable, but has some surface flaws such as fading or staining. Fair- Item is barely wearable, could be used for a costume or as a project piece. Poor- Item is not wearable and could only be used for repurposing or a pattern.
