Mister Freedom Campus Cossack style Leather Jacket, in black Italian Lambskin. This remarkably supple Italian Lambskin jacket is a faithful reproduction of the early slash-pocket style cossack leather jackets iconic to the 1920’s – 1930’s sporty american leather jackets. This design is among the tastiest of leather jackets designs in american history, versatile in aesthetic presentation from sporty and casual, to formal, to cool af–with tasty characteristic details of the subtle rounded collar, horn button placket, and slash pockets with arrow details. Mister Freedom and friends paid tremendous attention to detail in this faithful reproduction, nailing the iconic fit– short in the torso with a slender silhouette. This black Italian Lambskin version is very light and breathable, keeping you sharp and cool warm summer season. This particular example was carefully modified–adding a black cotton lining for the body and satin lining for the sleeves– by Johnson Leathers of San Francisco veteran leather jacket makers, who made CHP leather jackets through the 40s and 50s, and continues to make some of the finest leather jackets made today. I usually fall in between a size 38 (medium) and size 40 (Large) in Mister Freedom jackets and tops. With this jacket, a size 40 (Large) fits me best with room for layering, providing ease of movement and a comfortable relaxed feel. My chest measures 41″ around, measured level, at the widest point of my chest and back with arms relaxed at my side, and 40″ around with my arms extended to my sides as if preparing to have my wingspan measured. I provided fit pictures of this jacket on me. I recommend a size 40 (Large) for those who wear a men’s true size medium or size large with the preference of a fitted slender silhouette, and a snug fit. Please refer to measurements for more on fit. This has only been worn a handful of times. The leather is in remarkable condition. Pit to pit: 22. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam, across back: 18-1/8.
