Def Leppard Ded Flat Bird T Shirt Vtg 90s 1990 First RARE LIMITED Brockum Made In USA Large. Ded Flatbird, Def Leppard’s fake cover band, debuted in 2013 at Viva! Hysteria, their concert residency in Las Vegas. The name has a much earlier start in 1990 and this is the original t-shirt, one of maybe only 20 made. It is not in wide circulation and this particular one came from the personal collection of a sound engineer who worked with Tesla and many hair bands back in the 80’s. In an interview for Music Backstage, Onstage, On The Record, Phil Collen explained the full Ded Flatbird story and the creation of this t-shirt. Well the name we called it Ded Flatbird Joe remembered it from back when Rory my son was born. He’s 23 now so he was born in New York in 1990 and his Mum was going to le mars classes and stuff with – you know one of the other mothers there was going Your husband plays in a band right? And she said it’s Def Leppard and she goes Ded Flat Bird? And you know it was hilarious and so Peter Mensch who was our then manager and also Rory’s godfather and his then wife Melissa who’s Rory’s godmother said OK we have to make some T-Shirts up so Mensch had all these T-Shirts made up. It was very tongue in cheek, Ded Flat Bird and this image on it and kind of goofing around. Measures from collar to hem 26.75 inches, from underarm to underarm 20 inches.
