For sale late 1940s to 1950s era style suit made by Hepworths In the UK. This would have been made in the CC41 period. In a really lovely unusual brown cloth. Brown British suits are certainly less common and to me are a great addition to a collection. The jacket is in generally great condition with a moth hole most evident on the sleeve head as seen in a pic attached. The button holes are frayed. The trousers were taken in at some point to be very narrow, and I had them taken back out to match the cut of the jacket. Unfortunately the inside legs and crotch of the trousers have some areas of repairs and also some visible areas where the stitching was before I had them taken back out. I have taken some pics of the damage. The damage makes the trousers not smart but weirdly the damage isn’t really noticeable when you wear the suit. In my mind a wearable suit for some applications. This item is old, and that is reflected in its overall condition and will show signs of age, wear and general wear and tear and discolouration. If you examine it you will find imperfections. Please do not expect an item as good as new with no faults as this is a vintage piece and one should be realistic. I try my best to describe faults but may miss something.
