VINTAGE Original Late 1930s-Early-1940s JUMP JIVE WAIL TEAL HERRINGBONE WOOL GABARDINE DOUBLE-BREASTED, PEAK LAPEL SUIT, Cuffed ULTRA-HIGH-WAIST TROUSER with BUTTON FLY, POCKET WATCH POCKET BELOW THE FRONT WAIST and SPLIT at the Rear Center Waist with TAB. The Color of this Suit is AMAZING TO FIND, Particularly with the Contrasting All-Original Buttons in Camel. The Hankie was in the pocket, You get that too, Exactly as I found it. Measures Chest-40″, Waist-36″, Sleeve-24 1/4″, Shoulder seam to seam-18 1/4″, Length rear collar seam to hem-29 1/2. Trousers Waist-34-35″, Rise-15″ to center crotch, Inseam-31 1/4 (cuff can be let down if needed). The Color is a DEEP TEAL, I take my pictures in very bright light so don’t think the Green is Faded as it’s not, my camera is tempermental when depicting true color. Daddy Swung Pretty Hard in this Suit, you can tell it was a Favorite. There are darkish spots (and a few lightish smudges) and stains on primarily the front of the pants, and at the center front of jacket. Of the Two Pieces, I only see One Small 1/8 Moth Hole at the edge of the lower front jacket that can be mended, (a rarity for wool gab of this age). There are the usual underarm stains to the partial lining of the jacket, darkish stains to the liner at the inside back, and darkening to the inside of the waistband at the trousers. There is NO real seam allowance at the inside seat of these trousers, so I doubt they can be let out any more at the waist, you can however, gain about a 1/2 by moving all of the buttons over.
