This is a particularly vivid Hawaiian shirt. The turquoise and deep blues of the sea, the dark sun stroked palm fronds, the red accents of the outriggers…. You can feel the island vibe and if this were a twilight zone episode you could enter this shirt and live happily ever after… This is a 1950’s vintage Hale…. A highly sought after and collectible label. This one is in beautiful condition, I can’t find anything wrong with it. It bears all the hallmarks of the era: collar with invisible stitching and collar loop, double stitched seams, bamboo buttons, horizontal button holes, left chest pocket. The label is marked M…. Yesterdays medium is smaller than today’s medium. I would call this a small/medium. The armpit to armpit measurement is 21″ giving it a 42″ chest size. The shoulder to shoulder size is about 18 1/2. The length in the back from the top of the collar to the bottom edge is 30. The length in the front from the top of the shoulder seam (beneath the collar) is about 28.
