Dated 1933 3 Piece Savile Row Morning Suit. This is a dated 1933 Savile Row 3 piece morning suit, originally owned by a Lt. Christopher James York Dallmeyer was born on 27 March 1907 at York, Yorkshire, England. He was the son of Richard Owen John Dallmeyer and Helen Cowan Menzies. Ursula Nina Balfour, daughter of Patrick Balfour, 2nd Baron Kinross and Caroline Elsie Johnstone-Douglas, on 14 September 1939. He died on 20 October 1996 at age 89 at Tyninghame, East Lothian, Scotland. He fought in the Second World War, in France, and North-West Europe. 2 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order D. He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Lothian and Border Horse Yeomanry. He was awarded the Croix de Guerre Belgian. He was awarded the Territorial Decoration T. He was a practising Writer to the Signet W. The suit has working cuffs & pockets in the tails. It has been slightly altered in its lifetime, trouser waist has been extended & vest/waistcoat looks to have been slightly taken out. Jacket: 20 across underarms. Waistcoat: 21 across underarms. Trousers: 19 across waist. Condition: fairly good for age but does have some damage to the braid trim & what looks like some repair to the lining.
