A Classic, Gentleman’s JAEGER Overcoat – 40s-50s Styling. This is a High Quality Double-Breasted OverCoat. With a subtle, mid-blue line running through – Pretty Stylish.. In a soft-woven, Med/Heavy-Weight Wool Twill. And a 1/3 Grey Satin Lining & an inner breast pocket. Heavy, Ridged Seams – Over-Sized, Patch Pockets (in a Norfolk Style) – Turned-Up Cuffs – Large, Wind-Resistant Collar & Lapels – Large Beige Buttons – 12 inch Rear Vent. Overall, giving it an almost 40s look? There is a serial number’8457′ – could that be 1957? However, please remember these were designed to accommodate a heavy suit – so it fits me, a 40” med-build at 5ft 10 – very well. Shoulder Seam-to-Shoulder Seam: 19′. Under Arm-to-Under Arm: 24.5. Shoulder Seam-to-Cuff: 25.25′. Always Measure Against an Existing Similar Garment. Apart from a slight moth faults. (and the price taking this into account). The coat is, in all other respects, in very good condition – and of unusually good quality – with no signs of heavy wear; such as fading, bobbling, stains or odour. I’m considered pretty fussy, yet the moth nibbles never bothered me – besides I always carry a shoulder bag of some kind – so pretty hard to see anyhow.. I have been collecting vintage clothing for over 20 years. The collection took some effort & expense, and was acquired mostly from London markets and specialist fairs. And always selected carefully, with thought to condition, quality and whether it represented the best of the era – mostly early-mid 60s. As you may be aware, the High street – even high-end, can no longer easily provide items of this quality. And, the textiles are simply no longer available. As a result I will not be giving things away (sorry
