They show natural whiskering and are in VERY good shape for their age. These jeans have the following features. Cone Mills Red Selvage Denim 12 oz. Hidden copper rivets with indented lettering and dark stitch bartacking. Zinc buttonfly with one top and three lower buttons. Double needle arcuate on back pockets (diamond at base, 6 stitches per inch). Exposed copper rivets with raised lettering on backside. Boxy cut – Slightly tapered leg. Double sided Big E red tab. Offset middle back loop. Redline selvage watch pocket with copper rivets. These jeans measure: 29″ waist, 29″ inseams, 38″ outseams, 11 1/2″ front rise, 14″ back rise, 44″ full-hip, 11″ thigh, 8 1/4″ leg opening. Here are notes on condition (also shown in photos). Back Patch tag missing. Wear on arcuate stitching (some stitches popped). Wear on hidden rivet cover points (not worn through). Two small 1/8 rub wear spots on front inside left leg (do not go through). Second button hole worn – edge stitching frayed on top. Some wear on crotch inseams. NO wear on bottom leg openings. Some very small/light stain marks (three 1/2) on left mid leg did not want to wash these so the stains are still there! No stamp on top button back. No wear on belt loops. Minor fraying on edges of red tab. These jeans were my mother’s and she has had them in storage in her non-smoking home since her cowboy boot, saddle shoe years (she is 84 now) – so I can confidently tell you they are the real deal!!! She bought them in Hermosa Beach, California and I believe they are the 1955 style (she thought it was 1954) due to the double sided red tab. I wish they fit me….
