Original Levi’s Type II Jacket. Came out of a 100 year old California Cabin. Jacket hasn’t been touched in years if not decades. Type II jacket dates from somewhere around 1953. Early production jackets had a leather label like this jacket. 2 Chest Pockets with Pocket Flaps. Rivets on cuff vents. Jacket is in great shape with no issues. Of course it shows some age. Firstly, the jacket hasn’t been touched. It was in a dusty cabin closet. There is one paint spot on the collar, below the collar line, so it doesn’t show. The collar line is dirty/dusty. You can seen the visible grayish line in the photo. One of the cuff buttons has some rust, but only one. The previous owner had the button tabs set smaller and there is interior waistband wear at this spot. The jacket itself has no stains, no holes, no fraying. It’s in pretty amazing condition. The leather tag is very faint but you can make out the 507XX and size 40. Based on the measurements the size 40 seams to be correct. PLEASE, go by my measurements to determine fit, not what the faint tag appears to show. Size – Looks to be a 40, but use measurements instead since label writing is worn. Measurements Measurements All garments are laid flat and exterior measurements are taken. Please take into consideration the style, thickness, and age of the garment when determining fit. Every brand fits differently, especially vintage brands. To insure proper fit, please compare measurements to a similiar garment you have in your closet. Across waist, biggest button tab opening. Shoulder seam to cuff end. Underarm to cuff end. Bottom of collar to bottom back. It is the buyers responsibility to claim there item at the post office. On the 4th day an unpaid item case will automatically open. Jacket is vintage, wear and small flaws are to be expected. Since this is a special rare item.
